Miamisburg Schools Education Foundation - Eldora Joseph Scholarship Fund

The Eldora Joseph Scholarship was established in 2010 in memory of Eldora Joseph, who began her teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse in Tarlton, OH. Eldora taught grades 1-4 in a K-12 building. She was a career educator who loved learning her entire life. Applicants for this scholarship must be students who are excited about education, gaining skills and discipline, seeing work through to completion and experiencing genuine satisfaction in that work regardless of the final grade. Applicants must:

  • Must be a lifelong learner
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Plan to attend a two-year or four-year college or university as a full-time student
  • Must have completed a minimum of: 4 years of Math, 4 years of English, 4 years of Social Studies, 4 years of Science, 2 years of Music, 2 years of Foreign Language, and must have participated in or taken at least one credit in Art or Theater.
