Kettering Education Foundation - Susan Fanelli Scholarship

Sue (Reinicke) Fanelli was raised in Kettering and attended elementary and high school in Kettering. She graduated from Fairmont West High school in 1966. She received her bachelor’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University and returned to Kettering to teach elementary education (kindergarten and first grade). She retired from teaching after 30+ years. She then became a substitute teacher for another 10+ years. So in all Sue spent over half a century attending and teaching in the Kettering school system. She loved teaching and loved her students. It seems that she can’t go anywhere and not run into a former student or parent. This scholarship is in honor of her dedication to teaching and helping others succeed.
