The John P. Kalaman Memorial Scholarship
The John P. Kalaman Memorial Scholarship was established in 1998 after John, a Centerville Police Officer was killed in the line of duty while assisting a disabled motorist on I-675. Three separate scholarships, renewable for a second and third year are offered. John firmly believed that education and knowledge were the keys to success in life and in a career. John was a caring individual who loved serving his community. He would be humbled and proud to know how many local students are benefiting from this scholarship.
