Wahid Abdullah Memorial Scholarship
The Wahid Abduallah Memorial Scholarship was founded by Jim Bucher in 1997 to honor the memory of Wahid Abdullah. Wahid was a 17-year-old academic scholar at Colonel White High School whose life was abruptly ended by violence at the hands of another teen. Applicants must:
- Be a graduating senior or current college student from Montgomery County, Ohio
- Preference will be given to students who to major in communications and/or journalism
- Be accepted to a two-year, four-year, technical school or college or university
- Demonstrate community service
- Financial need will be considered if all else is equal
