Coach Ed Zink Scholarship

Coach Ed Zink was involved in Beavercreek Athletics for 46 years. His coaching career included football, softball and girls basketball. He is the all-time winningest girls’ basketball coach in the state of Ohio with 810 wins and three state titles. This scholarship in Coach Zink’s honor is for a Beavercreek High School athlete with preference given to an education major and/or a student going to the the University of Dayton. He tried to inspire and instill work ethic and humility in all of his athletes by encouraging them through his own actions and character. He strived to make a positive impact in all of his players. It is hoped that the recipient will be able to utilize their talents to help future generations of young people. Applicant’s must:

  • Be a graduating senior from Beavercreek High School
  • Plan to major in education and/or plan to attending the University of Dayton
  • Be accepted to a two-year, four-year, technical school or college or university
  • Demonstrate volunteering and community services
  • Financial need will be considered if all else is equal
