Miamisburg Schools Education Foundation - Class of 1951 Waldo Matthews-Lester Heistand Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established to financially assist graduating seniors of Miamisburg High School who plan on pursuing further education at a college or university. Waldo Matthews was a former head football and basketball coach at Miamisburg High School whose teams went to the regional finals and won several of these contests. Lester “Red” Heistand was a Miamisburg graduate who played football, basketball and baseball for Miamisburg and later was football and tennis coach for the school. Students must be graduating from Miamisburg High School and have been involved in sports, have a minimum 2.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.
