DeLoris L. Winslow Scholarship for Community Excellence
The DeLoris L. Winslow Scholarship for Community Excellence was established in 2013 to support Clark and Montgomery County minority students pursue degrees in social work, political science, counseling, psychology, social services, or the treatment of alcohol and substance abuse.
Scholarship Criteria
• Demonstrated commitment to community service or service involving the treatment of alcohol or substance abuse
• Academic record (minimum 2.5 gpa required)
• Demonstrated financial need
• Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities

- Please tell us what field you plan to enter and briefly describe what interests you the most about your planned studies. (250 word limit)
- Please upload an essay on “Why community service is important and what it means to you.” Your essay should be no more than 500 words, typed, double spaced, and use a 12 point font.
- Please provide the name and email address of two more recent letter of recommendations from a teacher, coach, guidance counselor, principal or employer. Current college students must submit one letter from a college/university advisor or professor.
