Oakwood Schools Foundation - The Comeback Award
The Comeback Award was created in 1998 by the Byrd Family to recognize an Oakwood High School senior who has overcome a significant obstacle in his/or her high school years, and who displayed strength, courage, character and integrity in overcoming the adversity. A scholarship and pewter bowl are given on a one-time basis to a deserving student planning to attend a two- or four-year college or trade school.
