Oakwood Schools Foundation - Scott Harman Memorial Scholarship
The family of Scott Harman (2010 graduate of Oakwood High School), established this scholarship in 2013 to honor and celebrate Scott’s life. Scott embraced life with passion, loved sports, music and his friends. He had the courage to be himself and a gift for making people, young and old, smile. Scott was a fun, vocal teammate who didn’t take himself too seriously. Scott made everyone around him feel like a longtime friend. Applicants must:
• Be a graduating senior from Oakwood High School
• Be accepted to an accredited technical school, junior college, community college or four-year college or university
• Have a GPA minimum 2.75
• Must be a full-time student
• Participate in extracurricular activities, inside or outside of school
• Financial need will be considered if all else is equal
• Live life with enthusiasm and have a positive impact on others

- Please provide the name and email address for two letters of recommendation. The letters need to address how your attitude, behavior, habits, teamwork, activities, or personality bring happiness to others, or explain how you have made a positive impact on others. One of the letters should be from someone outside of Oakwood High School such as an employer or someone from a volunteer or community service organization where you have participated. Letters should not be from a family member.
