Pearl A. Dale and Audrey Parker Scholarship Fund
The Pearl A. Dale and Audrey Parker Scholarship was established in 1990. It honors sisters Pearl Dale and Audrey Parker who were both Dayton Public School teachers. Both women earned bachelor’s degrees from Kentucky State College and master’s degrees from Miami University. The fund provides scholarship assistance to African-American high school seniors from the Dayton region (includes Champaign County, Clark County, Darke County, Greene County, Logan County, Miami County, Montgomery County, Preble County or Shelby Counties in Ohio) who are planning to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must:
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Minimum 21 on the ACT
- Demonstrate financial need
- Award
- Up to $1,000 renewable for 3 additional years
