Vandalia Butler Foundation - David A. and Kathryn E. Horner Family Memorial Fund

The fund was created in 1998 by family and friends from the Vandalia Community in memory of David, Kathryn, Jonathon, Carmen and Preston Horner who perished in a train accident in Central Ohio. This fund is a combination designated and scholarship fund. In even calendar years, 100% of the income from the fund goes to award a scholarship for a Butler HS senior, preferably a music student who intends to further his/her education at a two-or four-year institution as a full-time student. The recipient will be eligible for the award only one time and may use the money for tuition and related educational expenses. This scholarship is offered to Butler High School seniors in even years only.
