Robin Melnick Senior Scholarship

Robin Melnick’s passion and calling in life was teaching. This scholarship was established by her friends and family to honor her energy and spirit by awarding a scholarship. Applicants must:

• Be a graduating senior at a high school located within the greater Dayton metropolitan area
• Provide proof of acceptance to an accredited technical school, junior college, community college or four-year college or university
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA and strong academic history
• Demonstrate financial need
• Provide evidence of unconventional excellence. Such evidence might be an essay, but an actual, tangible accomplishment by the applicant is preferred. For example, the applicant might provide a fictional work, art portfolio, screenplay, video, website, computer program, business plan, research or science project or other such work product demonstrating innovation and creativity.
• Letter of recommendation detailing the applicant’s qualifications for this particular scholarship is strongly encouraged.
