Michael T. Barch Intern Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2023 by the employees at Brixey & Meyer in memory of Michael Barch who was an intern at the firm. Michael was a young man with exceptional potential having graduated from Springboro High School in 2021, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and participated on the Cross-Country team. He attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN, where he was majoring in Accounting in anticipation of a successful career. Always smiling, Michael was known to many as being a “light” and “pure soul” and was a true leader in all aspects. Michael was an active member of Fairhaven Church, where he served in the Kids Ministry and was strong in sharing his faith with others and leading them on their faith journey. He was a spiritual leader to all, including many persons quite older than himself.

Applicants must:

• Be a current, past or future intern at Brixey & Meyer at their Dayton, Cincinnati or Columbus locations in any department
• Be enrolled in a college or university part or full-time in an ungraduate or graduate level program.
• Demonstrate community service and leadership
• Be involved with church or spiritual growth, youth groups and/or child development (Make sure your resume reflects your involvement in these activities.
• Financial need will be considered if all else is equal
