M. Byron Morton - Vandalia Butler Foundation

The M. BYRON MORTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND was established to remember this former Vandalia-Butler Schools’ superintendent and namesake of the Morton Middle School. His career in education spanned a total of 61 years. During Mr. Morton’s tenure with the Vandalia-Butler schools, the Vandalia-Butler Stadium was established in honor of area veterans killed while serving their country.
