Oakwood Schools Foundation - Barbara Nichols O'Hara Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2000 and is awarded to an outstanding senior, female athlete. The award winner must have shown significant levels of achievement (i.e. league, district, state awards) while participating in interscholastic athletics for Oakwood High School. The athlete must also exhibit the qualities of leadership, spirit, poise and sportsmanship during competition. Applicants must:
- Be an Oakwood High School senior, female athlete
- Have qualified and/or placed as an individual or as a member of an Oakwood athletic team at league, sectional, district, regional, and/or state championships in her sport(s)
- Have been awarded league, district and/or state honors in her sport(s) while at Oakwood High School
- Exhibit leadership, spirit, poise and sportsmanship in all situations during practice and competition
- If all else is equal, financial need will be considered.
